Meet our Leadership Team
Alison Sparks
Founder
Born and raised in Arizona, Alison graduated from Horizon High School in North Scottsdale in 1999 before attending the University of Utah. She returned to Arizona in 2006 and began working as the controller for her family’s HVAC business, helping grow it to 12 locations across the western United States before it was sold in 2017.
Afterward, Alison moved to Costa Rica, where she taught English as a foreign language. When the pandemic brought her back to the States, she joined the Phoenix Hotrod Company, where she met Joel Pippett. When that business closed its doors in 2024, Joel presented the idea of creating an antique mall to Alison and his wife, Melynda — and the trio decided to go all in. Dealers Depot was born.
Today, Alison oversees accounting and IT operations and helps manage the day-to-day activities of the store. Her organizational expertise and love of vintage culture make her an integral part of the Dealers Depot team.
Joel Pippett
Founder
Born in Portland, Oregon, Joel married his wife, Melynda, in 1994 — the same year their shared love for collecting antiques began. That passion planted the seed for what would eventually become Dealers Depot.
Before opening the mall, Joel spent over 20 years as a metal fabricator, building custom motorcycles and hot rods. His craftsmanship and design eye are evident throughout the mall: from the lockable glass cases and booth structures to the unique dressing rooms featuring the rear end of a Plymouth Belvedere perched on top.
Joel’s dedication to organization and cleanliness sets Dealers Depot apart, creating a shopping environment that’s as inviting as it is inspiring.
Melynda Pippett
Founder
Melynda’s love for antiques and collectibles began in 1990, the year she met Joel. Together, they spent years treasure hunting in small towns along the Oregon coast, cultivating a deep appreciation for history and design.
In the early 2000s, the couple became some of eBay’s first sellers, and after moving to Arizona in 2004, Melynda began dealing professionally in 2018. Her success at several antique malls led to the opportunity to co-found Dealers Depot — truly a dream come true.
Melynda’s specialties include Art Deco pieces, barware, mid-century design, and smoking collectibles. Her keen eye and creative vision bring personality and warmth to every corner of the mall.
